Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to find us a reliable tradesperson for our renovation project. We registered and advertised our project details, but unfortunately, we were left abandoned at sea.

  • Adding insult to injury, their helpline was abysmal.

We are extremely disappointed with Checkatrade and would strongly advise using their platform. There are much better alternatives out there. We regret having wasted our money on this ineffective service.

Duped by Checkatrade, Justice is Needed

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with competent tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a shambles.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you trust Checkatrade. Their whole scheme is designed to leave you stranded. They promise the world but they a load of rubbish. You'll be left screwed and nobody at Checkatrade will give a damn.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the legalese. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like pulling teeth.

So, avoid them like the plague of Checkatrade if you value your money.

Using RatedPeople can turn into a complete disaster. You could end up with a dodgy builder who {takes your money anddoesn't turn up at all. It's as bad as a messed up job.

Is Checkatrade a Scam?

We thought we were doing the right choice by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Then, the response from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up payinga huge sum/an exorbitant amount/ way more than it should have been by this check here so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's helpline was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and would definitely not recommend Checkatrade for your tradesman needs.

They Paid, But Never Saw the Project: Checkatrade Disaster.

My story with Checkatrade turned into a nightmare. I engaged a trader through their website to handle some essential home repairs. They appeared trustworthy at first, but it ended up a terrible ordeal.

Despite I paid the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Communication ceased. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with a house in disarray.

The platform itself has been unhelpful throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been scammed.
